TweetDeck does not support scheduled Direct Messages.

Blocking or muting an account on Twitter or TweetDeck does not remove the account or their Tweets from public search results on TweetDeck.

Make sure you’re logged in to TweetDeck with the correct Twitter account. You can check the account you’re logged in with by clicking the gear icon If the displayed account is correct, try refreshing the page.

1. Click the gear icon from the navigation bar and select Settings.
2. Under the General tab, click the slider next to Autoplay GIFs to turn off the GIF autoplay setting. When autoplay is disabled, you will need to click the play icon on each GIF to view the animation.
3. Click Done to save your changes.

To find the version you are using:

1. Click on the gear icon from the navigation bar and select Settings.
2. From the General tab, you'll see your current version listed.

When reporting a problem, reproducing the issue within Chrome or Safari gives us additional information to help diagnose and solve the problem.

Chrome:

1. Go to View > Developer > Javascript Console. This will open a screen with a lot of information; at the bottom will be a blinking cursor.
2. Paste the following at the cursor: copy(JSON.stringify(TD.storage.store.jsonDump()))
3. Press return (enter) to copy some information that you can paste and send to us if we request it.

Safari:

1. Go to Develop > Show Web Inspector. Make sure the Scripts tab is selected.
2. Enable debugging (for this session only)
3. At the bottom of the inspector, the second icon will open the console. Scrolling to the bottom, you’ll find a blinking cursor.

5. Press return (enter) to copy some information that you can paste and send to us if we request it.

Some sad news for us Twitter enthusiasts on Windows! As of today, Twitter is no longer supporting the TweetDeck Windows app, which was, for many of us, a handy way to build custom Twitter feed dashboards and manage accounts.

Of course, you can still use the web version of TweetDeck, but over the last couple of days it’s become clear that this isn’t exactly filling the void the app has left behind:

Thankfully, all hope is not lost!

It’s given us a chance to check out a couple of alternative Twitter apps, such as Hootsuite and the up and coming Tweeten. Although the Tweeten Windows app is still in beta, it’s already proving to be pretty popular and a decent alternative to the Tweetdeck we loved:

But, for those holding out for the stable version or still trying to get used to the web version of Tweetdeck, which in my opinion still does a good job for what I need, there’s some browser tricks that’ll make the transition smoother and the web version just that little less painful to use.

First off, many browsers, including Opera, have handy add-ons and extensions that can help enhance Tweetdeck in browser for you. One of my favorites is TweetDeck enhancer:
